Rules of my studio

To ensure the shoot is safe and very successful and fun for the child; these are ideas I find that helps.

Parent preparation:

I call my studio the bubble space for the children.
I request that the parents don’t talk too much about the shoot so the children don’t become apprehensive. The child may use it against the parent when trying to manipulate a situation or it can put tremendous pressure on a child to perform.

Clothing

Clothing needs to be co-orderinated so the props complement one another i.e. white, black, jeans. Fad type clothing should be avoided i.e. loud designs and t-shirts with writing or cartoons. Bright colours can be a distraction. I photography children in their bare feet, children can be dressed up as fairies, mermaids, angels, favourite hat etc.
Maybe bring a favourite toy.

Rules of the Kidszone

1. Mrs Bullock is the boss.
2. Mum introduces the children to Mrs Bullock, having got their attention.
3. The shooting room is of limits.
4. The child stays on the set
5.  Parents must stay in sight.
6. One voice at a time.
7.  Toys are concealed.
8. 30% deposit on day of shoot, balance payable on delivery of prints.
